

Counting on the Lodge crew
Dana Shroeder: The crew and the llamas are the backbone of the lodge The tradition of counting Mount Le Conte hikes began with the founders of LeConte Lodge: Paul Adams counted 523 ascents, and Jack Huff had 1,043 before he lost count. The LeContest honor roll includes 28 members of the Lodge crew with at least 100 ascents, most recently Dana Schroeder. He is the 117th member of the "centennial club." A new front porch at LeConte
Architect's rendering of the newest building on Mount Le Conte Decades of guests have been welcomed to LeConte Lodge in a recreation hall and office built by Herrick Brown in the early 1970s.
